Perth Children's Hospital is WA's flagship paediatric health facility and the largest health project undertaken in the state. Built on the QEII Medical Centre site in Nedlands, this $1.2 billion development replaced Princess Margaret Hospital and now serves as WA's dedicated children's hospital.
This project represents Tyrone's largest masonry undertaking to date. Our scope included the full masonry package for both the main hospital and car park structures, along with rendering, fire-rated sealant works, plant and operators, and the supply and erection of structural steel.
The project's scale demanded careful sequencing and strict program control. Works commenced in December 2013 alongside numerous other trades on site. We managed precise logistical planning through an online booking system with limited set-down areas. Despite these complexities, Tyrone delivered ahead of schedule with zero lost-time injuries, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety throughout.
The hospital now stands as a world-class healthcare facility, and Tyrone is proud to have contributed through our masonry, rendering, and structural capabilities.
