At Tyrone, our people are our greatest asset. We invest in structured training to build capability, support career progression, and secure the future of our industry.
We partner with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) across WA to deliver targeted programs that develop both trade skills and leadership. These initiatives strengthen our workforce while creating clear career pathways for apprentices, tradespeople, and supervisors.
Apprenticeships
Tyrone has a strong track record of supporting apprentices through the Certificate III in Bricklaying. We partner with major RTOs in Perth to provide on-site mentoring, structured learning, and ongoing employment opportunities.
Our apprentices are valued team members from day one, with access to progression plans and pathways into long-term careers.
Trowel Hand Training
In partnership with Trade Academy WA, Tyrone has introduced a 4-week accredited training program for all Trowel Hands.
The program covers:
- Core bricklaying principles
- Practical, supervised skills development
- Fast-tracked progression into qualified bricklaying roles
This initiative supports both employee development and Tyrone's long-term growth strategy.
Site Supervision Program
Starting this year, Tyrone is offering selected employees the Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Site Supervision).
Delivered over 12 months, the program provides participants with:
- Leadership and supervision skills
- Stronger project management capability
- Succession planning opportunities within Tyrone
We work with Train & Retain to coordinate and mentor employees through the program, ensuring professional development aligns with business needs.
Building for the Future
Our training programs reflect Tyrone's commitment to:
- Growing capability from within
- Creating career progression for employees
- Developing future leaders in construction
- Strengthening skills across WA's building industry
By investing in our people, we ensure the long-term success of both our clients and our projects.
